College Internships (Unpaid)

The Science & Discovery Center is in need of filling the following positions with college students who are studying in the following areas: COMMUNICATIONS, PR, ADVERTISING, MARKETING, GRAPHICS INTERNSHIPS -- Write newsletter, do newsletter layout in Constant Contact, maintain Constant Contact e-mailing list; create flyers, keep Facebook updated, take photos, etc. Must be able to pass background checks. 2 positions available. Send a cover letter of interest and a current resume to Faith.Guta@sdcnwfl.org EDUCATION, CDA, EARLY EDUCATION AND CHILDCARE -- Assist Education Director with implementation of education and outreach programs, classroom instruction, on-floor instruction and demonstrations, and curriculum development. Note that we are adding Science-based camps for ages 3-5 from January through June and that we will be opening a STEM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) pre-school in August 2012. Must be able to pass background checks. 2 positions available. Send a cover letter of interest and a current resume to Faith.Guta@sdcnwfl.org BUSINESS OR MARKETING INTERNSHIPS -- Museum operations, run Visitor Services (ticketing, museum store, reservations, etc.), sales phone calls and e-mails (to schools to sell field trips and add-on educational programs; to parents to sell upcoming educational camps; and potential members to purchase memberships) and more!
